Christmas Pork Patty Sliders

With the unwrapping of presents, breakfast is often a decadent smorgasbord of homemade cinnamon buns and sizzling bacon slices. Then, the day’s festivities are topped off with a dinner feast of ham, roasted vegetables, creamy mashed potatoes, and pie. But what about lunch?! It is the most overlooked and underrated part of the day. Well, let’s adopt this little sad food baby and give it a home. I am reclaiming this yuletide meal with a recipe for Christmas Pork Patty Sliders with the help of Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Sausage and H-E-B.

Since I moved to Texas last year, H-E-B is my go-to supermarket for holiday prep. It has all the quality ingredients you’ll need to put together the year’s most important meals. I also love how convenient it is to shop at the store, especially when you’re trying to find a range of products on your list. Christmas Pork Patty Sliders

INGREDIENTS

• 1 box of Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Original Pork Sausage Patties
• 8 slider or mini pretzel buns
• 8 fresh mint leaves
• 8 slices of pepper jack cheese
• ½ cup of mint jelly
• ½ cup of red pepper jelly

DIRECTIONS

1. Visit your local H-E-B market and pick up a box of Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Original Pork Sauces Patties in the refrigerator aisle.
2. Cook the patties on a skillet over medium heat for approximately 7 minutes.
3. Assemble the sliders by first spreading a good amount of the mint and red pepper jelly on the bottom bun. Then add the pork patty, mint leaf, pepper jack cheese, and top bun slice. Enjoy!
