DIRECTIONS:
Place the wonderful French foodie products on a bar cart or buffet, pair the cheese with wine and garnishes, and enjoy!
Let’s take a closer look at these delightful French products. Georges Duboeuf wines are versatile and exceptionally food-friendly. The Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages 2015 is a light-bodied red wine similar to a Pinot Noir. With a delicate floral aroma and subtle earthy notes, it pairs wonderfully with the strong Saint Agur blue cheese. I’d also recommend that while you sip on the wine and dip into the Saint Agur cheese, add a bit of crunch with the rosemary Marcona almonds. You won’t be disappointed.
The Georges Duboeuf Pouilly-Fuissé 2015 is made from 100% Chardonnay. Chardonnay all day! It has a lovely light, fruity flavor that goes perfectly with a slice of the Ile de France Plain Goat cheese. Elevate this pairing experience by spreading a bit of the cheese on a crystallized ginger for a bit of NYE zing!
Légendes wines are where affordability and elegance meet. The Légende Rouge is a fantastic red to sip on throughout the night’s festivities. Munch on some Saint André cheese spread on a dried persimmon and you’ll feel like you’re on the French Riviera.
The Légende Blanc is an exuberant white that pairs delightfully with the Ile de France Brie cheese. I’m a sucker for sweet bries, so I like to drizzle a bit of honey and top the cheese off with diced dried prunes. All the Ile de France cheeses are fantastic and the brand has a great reputation for it’s generosity, French know-how, great value.
