Tailgating Tablescape Décor Hack

Versatility. Versatility is the word for the day. Take your tailgating party to a new fabulous level for your game day viewing pleasures. And the best way to do that? Light it up! I have teamed up once again with Jasco to use their Enbrighten Café Lights to transform my game day table to a tailgating centerpiece of a football-lover’s dreams.

I have a confession to make. I do not own a truck and thus cannot tailgate in the traditional sense. However, I do not let that stop me. Instead, I whip out the folding table and go about my football business. One of the easiest ways to spruce up a tailgating table is by adding some lights. It’s a fun and festive way to decorate for game day without having to lug tons of decorations along. Add a bit of fresh-brewed coffee, scrumptious bites, and team spirit, and you have yourself a kicking tailgate, my friends.

For today’s tailgate, I’m going all wintery Southern comfort. And as I have revealed in the past, my secret to a good tablescape is layers. First lay out a festive tablecloth and place a few football or team themed decorations about. Then set out the coffee and light bites for your fellow tailgaters. Think ‘serve-yourself’ so you won’t have to take your eyes off the game. Drape fun team or seasonal banners along the back of the table or between the truck cab. Lastly, line the game day centerpiece with the Enbrighten Café Lights Vintage edition for a final knock-out look that will wow every guest.

You may have noticed from past posts, that I am obsessed with the Enbrighten Café Lights. In particular, I love that they are year-round-rated for outdoor/indoor use. Translation? They are incredibly durable and waterproof (perfect for an outdoor tailgate, if you ask me!). The Café Lights are impact resistant so they won’t break and have variable mounting options so you can use them in very creative ways, like I have. They are linkable up to 750 feet and come in multiple lengths (12, 24, and 48 feet). The lights themselves are lifetime LED bulbs that never need to be replaced and are so energy efficient that you will save up to $59/year using them. This particular ‘Vintage’ edition are carefully crafted in Edison-style. These bulbs exude a soft, amber glow which adds a timeless feel to the tailgating centerpiece. And since I love all things vintage, you know I am digging hard on these babies! The string also comes in both black and white options so you can match your home décor seamlessly. They’re absolutely fantastic and stunning to behold. They’re going to spruce up your tailgating table so much, that you might want to consider bringing extra food… nearby tailgaters might want to join your festivities!

I like the decor you used and all the little details. The lights were a nice touch.

  5. Okay, this is amazing! You can definitely see how much detail you put into this, I wish I was as talented as you! So cool!

    1. Thank you! The key is layering… just start putting stuff on the table and keep adding details until it looks just right. You can do it!

  6. I love those lights, would look great on a deck or patio. Our tailgates started out years ago with beer and chips and twenty-some years later it is a trailer with a tv and a different menu every week of a home game. We are Buckeye fans and love to tailgate.
