As a first-time homeowner, I have a lot of interior design dreams. Replace the carpet with hardwood floor! Gut the guest bathroom and reconfigure the layout! Enclose the patio with in a French greenhouse design! So many dreams, so little money. So instead, I am focusing on the smallest changes with the most impact. And one small change that can completely transform a room is the lighting. With the help of my lovely friends at Parrot Uncle, I am adding a bit of icing on top of my master bedroom cake with their gorgeous Crystal Chandelier Ceiling Fan.
Like any millennial that was actually able to purchase a home in their 30’s, I am plum out of money. It was difficult enough to scrimp together a downpayment for a home I could actually afford, so I am not about to go into debt for a bit of home renovation. Nope! This first home is going to have to deal with just minor cosmetic changes. And since I bought this house, I have been dreaming of one thing… lighting!
The home (which is quite beautiful) came with a standard, single flush mount light in the master bedroom. No frills, no ceiling fan. Given that my husband’s body mysteriously transforms into a furnace at night, it can get a bit heated in the room. He has been wanting a ceiling fan installed since the day we moved in, but I just couldn’t pull the trigger. You see, all the ceiling fans in our price range are all ugly. There, I said it!
I couldn’t justify dishing out hundreds of dollars for something I don’t even want to look at. That is until I found Parrot Uncle on Amazon. They have a huge selection of stunningly gorgeous ceiling fans, light fixtures, and chandeliers for (what I would estimate) is a good 50-75% off regular retail prices. And trust me, I’ve been shopping around! Parrot Uncle generously sent me their product to install in my home. With their Crystal Chandelier Fan, I would finally have both a practical and gorgeous feature to complete the master bedroom.
The Parrot Uncle Crystal Chandelier Fan arrived in 2 days from Amazon Prime, was easy to assemble, and just as easy to install. And with an inexpensive ceiling medallion to cover the hole from the previous flush mount, the master bedroom was transformed to a modern Versailles Palace!
A few lovely features of the fan to tout… the fan has a reversible motor, allowing for the air flow to be directed up toward the ceiling or down toward the floor. The fan and light can both be controlled separately by a remote control with different speeds and a sleep timer. It also just so happens to be composed of a mix of high-quality crystal, wood, and iron. An absolute stunner!
