Welcome to 2019! With the dawn of the new year comes the inevitable resolutions. For me, this just means tweaking beloved recipes to be more conscientious. I’m swapping sugar for stevia, bacon for turkey jerky, and soda for flavored water. Today with the help of Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Fully Cooked Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast from Walmart, I’ve revamped my hearty casserole recipe for a more wholesome version. So who wants to try my Hearty Winter Casserole?
I know what you’re thinking… 1 hour to make this meal?! Hear me out! This hour will yield about 3 days-worth of dinners for the whole family. Meal prepping, baby! But just in case you’re a bit intimidated, let’s walk through the super easy steps together. First you’ll want to defrost the frozen chicken. In a large skillet over medium heat, defrost the whole bag of Tyson Grilled & Ready Fully Cooked Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast. In the past I’ve added ham or ground beef to my casserole recipes. But by adding Tyson Grilled & Ready Fully Cooked chicken, it simplifies the process and offers a more wholesome addition. Plus, the chicken has 19g of protein, is made with 100% all natural, white meat, and no antibiotics ever, so you can rest assured that your family is getting only the best ingredients.
While the chicken is defrosting, bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium pot and mix in the penne pasta. Bring the water back to a boil and cook the pasta for 10 minutes and then drain. Set both the chicken and pasta aside to slightly cool while the other ingredients are prepared.
At this point, preheat the oven to 350°F. Then prepare the pretzel crumble by mixing the pretzels, 1 Tbsp. of cilantro, and the melted butter in a small bowl. Set aside. Now to the fun part! In a large mixing bowl, combine the mushroom cream soup, asiago, and garlic. Then mix in the tomatoes, 1 Tbsp. cilantro, and zucchini.
Lastly, mix in the cooled pasta and Tyson Grilled & Ready Fully Cooked chicken. Spread the ingredients evenly in a casserole dish.
Top with the pretzel crumble and place in the oven.
Bake approximately 40 minutes. Serve warm!
See, not too much work considering you have a few days-worth of meals, right? So make sure to grab the Ibotta rebate offer for $1 off Tyson® Grilled & Ready® products from 1/12/19-2/10/19 and then head to your local Walmart to pick up all the ingredients. The Tyson Grilled & Ready Fully Cooked Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast used in this recipe can be found in the freezer section at your local Walmart. Now you know my 2019 “swapping” resolutions, so what are yours?

I love casseroles. We often make them without a recipe. We just go through our cupboards and freezer and use the casserole as an excuse to clear them out.
