There are certain things in life that make you feel an immense sense of gratification. A seamlessly frosted cake. The last puzzle piece being snapped into place. Labrador puppies frolicking in tall grass. Picking a recipe and then realizing you already have all the ingredients in your pantry. It is as if the cosmic world has orchestrated this perfect moment of delight. Well I can’t help you with the puppies, but I’ve got your recipe satisfaction covered. With the help of Tyson Foods, I have created a deliciously easy recipe that utilizes the basics of your cupboard inventory. It is time to add my Wild Garden Tostada recipe to your repertoire.
Ideal for an active lifestyle, the Wild Garden Tostada is wholesome and simple to make. The recipe is filled with items you probably already have stocked in your kitchen: TortillaLand® Flour Tortillas, Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken, Wish-Bone® Italian Dressing, baby kale, sunflower seeds, dried blueberries, and gorgonzola (all of which can be easily found at your local Walmart). It is chock full of protein, veggies, and vibrant flavors, so what’s not to love?!
WILD GARDEN TOSTADA
INGREDIENTS:
TortillaLand Flour Tortillas
Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken
Wish-Bone Italian Dressing
1 cup of baby kale
1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon of dried blueberries
1 tablespoon of gorgonzola
DIRECTIONS:
Without further ado, let’s get to the nitty gritty of this super easy recipe! Marinate 2 – 4 strips of the Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken in ¼ cup of Wish-Bone Italian dressing for approximately 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a TortillaLand Flour Tortilla in a taco bowl pan and bake for 10-15 minutes. Please note, the tortillas can be found in the refrigerated section of Walmart. I highly recommend having some taco bowl pans in your arsenal. They are easy to find with a Google search and very reasonably priced. Going back to the recipe, if you have more than one taco bowl pan, make a few of these tostada bowls ahead of time. They will keep for about a week if stored in a sealed plastic bag. Once the tortillas are baked, remove from the oven and let cool.
While the tortilla is baking, heat the marinated strips of the Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken on a skillet over medium heat until hot. This will take approximately 5 minutes. I love using the Grilled & Ready Chicken because it is a great source of protein and so simple to make. Chop the heated chicken into cubes and set aside
Now that the tortilla is baked and the chicken is cooked, it is time to make the tostada salad. Add 1 cup of baby kale, 1 tablespoon of gorgonzola, 1 tablespoon of dried blueberries, 1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds, and the diced chicken to the baked tostada bowl. Lastly lightly drizzle Wish-Bone Italian Dressing on top for an extra zesty boost of flavor. This bold and flavorful dressing is also happens to be gluten free and free of high fructose corn syrup… your taste buds will thank you!
And voila, you have got yourself one delicious meal my friends! Creative, wholesome, and ridiculously satisfying.
