If there’s anything I like at a party, it’s a theme! Themes are a fun and easy way to elevate your entertaining game and bring a bit of whimsy to your affair. Today, I’m kicking it back to the Old School days with a nostalgic candy and cocktails table. It’s going to be retro galore with flavors like strawberry, lime, bubblegum, and watermelon. The whole thing is inspired by the new retro summer packaging for 7UP, so naturally it’s going to be a soda based cocktail. Who’s ready to take it back to an era of pastel-covered dreams with my retro sweets bar & Strawberry Lime Gin Fizz?!
This colorful party setup couldn’t be more appropriate for the warm summer months that are around the corner. So for your next party, set a table with all the nostalgic fixings. Think watermelon meringue cookies, raspberry jelly candies, and macarons in fruit and bubblegum flavors. I would also suggest setting out 7UP cans in their gorgeous new limited-time-only summer packaging (available at Kroger!) to round out the décor and help quench your guests’ thirst. Then use some of the soda to whip up a batch of Strawberry Lime Gin Fizz Cocktails and let the retro festivities begin. It’s that simple.
To show you just how delightful and easy this cocktail is to make, I’ve put together a little video tutorial for you…
Besides the fabulous taste, my favorite thing about this cocktail is that it looks like it is much harder to make than it actually is. Using 7UP adds just the right amount of fizz and flavor to the drink to complete it to perfection.
Make sure to pick up 7UP in its new, limited-time-only packaging at your local Kroger store and get to mixing up some candy-coated nostalgia! Please enjoy & drink responsibly!

Is the combination of carbonization & egg white that gives you the frothy top on the drink? I love the summer packaging from 7-Up and am all set to make these for a girls night next week!
That looks so good, and it’s my favorite color.

I didn’t know egg whites were in this, I would leave that out! Everything else sounds good!

strawberry lime gin fizz…oh yum! what a lovely blog post 🙂
It’s so pretty and it sounds delicious. Perfect for a summerparty!
I would probably leave the egg off, but the rest looks good. I cook my meats well done, so I don’t think I could get over the mental hurdle of eating a raw one.
