Like any parent, I want what is best for my child. The best school, the best clothes, the best… well, everything! But unless you have unlimited means, that you simply can’t always have the best. But you can certainly try! Sure, I only shop for toddler clothes in the “clearance” section and take full-advantage of free community events, but there is one aspect that I work hard to not compromise within… food. When it comes to food, I really try to give my kid the best I possibly can. That’s why I was thrilled to team up with RiceSelect to create a dinner recipe that the whole family could love. Who wants a bite of my Meat-Lover’s Texmati Paella?!
Now this whole, “give my daughter the best” thing can be a bit time-consuming. As a busy, working parent, dinnertime is always a bit stressful since time is of the essence. So I like to make meals that are both easy to whip up and can last a few days. That way, I don’t have to compromise quality or quantity for a lack of time. Crockpot meals, casseroles, and paellas are ideal dishes for this concept.
Today’s Meat-Lover’s Texmati Paella is a perfect example. It has plenty of protein, a variety of fresh veggies, and the premium RiceSelect Texmati Rice as it’s foundation. Oh and did I mention that it is ridiculously easy to make?!
This is actually a super easy recipe to make, so let’s walk through the steps together. First in a medium skillet, cook ground beef and crumbled chorizo with the salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
In large wok or pan, heat the olive oil, garlic, and saffron until boiling.
Then, stir in the RiceSelect Texmati Rice until it is coated with the oil.
Add the chicken stock to the pan and bring to boil. Lower the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook approximately 15 minutes. RiceSelect’s Texmati Rice is an all natural, long grain American Basmati. It’s real, clean of preservatives, chemicals, and added substances. It’s non GMO verified and hails from my hometown of Houston, Texas. I’ve been particularly impressed by the high standards that RiceSelect holds itself to. The company only sells the finest all-natural ingredients to ensure premium quality. They go so far as to even hold transparency at their core, packaging all products in clear, resealable, reusable, 100% recyclable BPA-free jars so the impeccable quality is on display.
Add the peas, bell peppers, red onion, tomatoes, meat, and asiago.
Heat an additional 10 minutes and then serve warm. Enjoy!
And there you have it! A delicious meal for the family featuring some of the best ingredients. Make sure to always have RiceSelect on hand for scrumptious, quality dinners. So tell me, what is your go-to dinnertime recipe?

That looks so yummy, it’s just my daughter and I so it’s so hard cooking for just two. I think I will have to give this a try though and invite my family over.
This looks so yummy! I’ve always wanted to make paella but thought it might be complicated. Pinning your recipe so I can give it a try.
Looks great, I wonder how well it would do as a freezer meal
That looks so good!
Hmm, colorful, and full of ingredients.
This is the kind of meal that one can make large batch of and have meals throughout the week if too busy to cook.
