Bottles to Pop on New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve is upon us! And I personally cannot think of anything more appropriate to bid farewell to 2018 than with a few glasses of booze. Seriously, was it just me or was this year a dumpster-fire of political and cultural rubbish?! So, join me as I look back on the past year and review some of the more favorable moments… I mean, bottles… that we experienced here at The Frosted Petticoat. One of my all-time favorite bottles, Piper-Heidsieck Brut is so good that it is the official bubbly of the Oscars, my friends. Yup, if it’s good enough for Jennifer Lawrence, then damn it, it’s good enough for me! See our review article here.

Last year I threw an exclusively French New Year’s Eve party. And let me tell you, it was c’est magnifique! All the wine, cheese, and debauchery you’d expect from a good ol’ French shindig. I recommend multiple bottles of Georges Duboef and Légende. Get all the details here!

Gloria Ferrer

Crisp, elegant, and oh so bubbly, Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut and Blanc de Noirs are sure bets. I personally recommend this one if you’re having a low-key, romance by the fire sort of New Years Eve. Get more details here.

I am pretty convinced that this is as close as I’ll ever come to owning a Ferrari, but I think I can live with that. Ferrari Trento Brut is a decadent, fabulous bottle that defines the word “brut”.
