Thank you Decoy for sponsoring this post. Celebrate International Merlot Month this October by using the hashtag #MerlotMe on social!
Did you know that October is International Merlot month?! Add Halloween to the mix and we are about to have ourselves a fabulous 31 days, my friends. To celebrate both occasions in style, I have teamed up with Decoy Wine to give you a lovely glass of Merlot and a killer bar cart for an adults-only All Hallow’s Eve. Mwahahah! So lets celebrate the grape with haunting Halloween libations from Decoy Wine!
Wine is a fantastic way to offer your Halloween guests a drink without having to play bartender the whole night. All you need to do is put together a killer bar cart display and you’re free to haunt the halls unencumbered. Place the cart in a centralized location and then set an eerie mood. Candles, skulls, pumpkins, and the like should cover every available free space on the bar. I also suggest sticking to a bit of a sexy color palette to match the wine. Since Decoy Merlot has such a gorgeously scarlet intensity, I highly suggest burgundies, golds, and blacks as a palette to impress.
The most important part of the bar cart is the wine itself! For your Halloween festivities, I highly recommend the Decoy Sonoma County Merlot 2016. Not only is it a perfectly deep-red wine to match the night’s hauntings, it also simply a marvelous merlot that will not disappoint. Oh and don’t forget to set out plenty of stemware for easy access.
Expert Tip: add a cake stand or two to the cart to display the wine bottles. This will not only add height and visual interest to the centerpiece, it will also make the wine more readily accessible amongst the decor.
Make sure to have plenty of bottles of Decoy Merlot available to celebrate the month properly. For more ways to celebrate International Merlot Month in style, follow #MerlotMe on your social accounts throughout October! So tell me, how do you enjoy like to enjoy a glass of Merlot? Shout it out below and have a devastatingly fantastic Halloween, boys and ghouls!
