What happens when you’re an artist that likes to play with their food? Edible magic, that’s what! What started out of boredom has now blossomed into an Instagram account full of whimsy and wonder. This is Lauren Ho’s wonderful world of food art.
Lauren works at a drink company, The Juice Truck. One day at work she got bored, so to kill time she made an illustration of sorts with some scrap fruit from her lunch. A co-worker commented that it was pretty good and fruit art was born.
Lucky for us, we’re getting an exclusive sneak peek into Lauren’s creative process. As she explains…
“The idea of this shoot is inspired by my time in art school. Throughout my four years in art school, our instructors would always tell us to take process photos, and tell us it’s all about the process! Now that I work as a photographer I see tons of photos of finished products, but don’t see too many behind the scenes process photos so that’s how the idea of this project came about!”
Check out some of the other masterpieces Lauren has posted to her Instagram account…
Amazing, right?! Make sure to follow along with Lauren on Instagram and get inspired by the uniquely delicious way she views the world.
