Who doesn’t love a donut? Well, if you think you’re obsessed with the little rings of heaven, then you’ve got to check out this real-life elopement. Photographer Christina Maldonado explains…

This couple didn’t want a big wedding celebration. They just wanted to elope at City Hall, then celebrate with a sweet breakfast at a local donut stand. To achieve this, we combined retro style and a pastel color scheme to create a darling breakfast setup, complete with mini donuts, milk and coffee, showing that you don’t need a huge budget or a large celebration, all you need is love and donuts!

Too cute right?! So I’ve got a question… which of you lovely readers eloped and then treated yourself to some decadent food? *Raises hand slowly* Yup, I eloped almost 8 years ago to the day. After the quick ceremony at the courthouse, my hubby and I treated ourselves to a smorgasborg of amazing food at our favorite Manhattan eateries. It was one of the greatest days of my life!

  1. THis sim simply adorable. Their priorities are right, too. Love and food. We were so young when we married that food was an afterthought for our big wedding. If we had it to do over again, we hold probably still invite the same number of people, but we would have better food and less money poured into decor. Oh, well, we’re still married twenty years later. I figure we have many years of fine meals left!
