With the sweltering heat and inescapable sunshine, I crave fresh ingredients and revitalizing flavors. Let’s beat the heat together with an invigorating glass of Honeydew Gin Fizz.
Fresh is the name of the game with this cocktail. There’s no better season to find a vast selection of organic ingredients to add to your drink, so today we’re going to utilize the most refreshing of the bunch. Honeydew melon, lemongrass, thyme, and lime are easy to find this time of year and go together quite wonderfully. Add to that the amazingly unique flavor profile of sage, juniper, and exotic spices found in Prairie Organic Gin and you’ve got yourself a stellar drink.
This actually a quite simple recipe to whip up, but let’s walk through it together. Puree 1/4th of a honeydew melon, 1 sprig of thyme, 1-inch cube of a lemongrass stalk, and 1 teaspoon of lime juice together in a blender.
Strain the honeydew puree into a bowl to remove large chunks.
Divide the honeydew puree evenly between two tumblers.
Add 2 ounces of Prairie Organic Gin to each glass. I highly recommend you use Prairie Organic Spirits for this recipe.
