We’re exactly a week away from the big day, so it’s time to get a signature cocktail in order. My very Christmasy twist on this classic drink is sure to put a little blush on Santa’s cheeks. Who fancies a Eggnog Brandy Alexander? There’s no time to waste, let’s get to the mixing…
Eggnog Brandy Alexander
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 ounces of brandy
- 1/2 ounce of crème de menthe
- Eggnog (I recommend Promised Land)
- Garnish: Fresh cranberries and sage
DIRECTIONS:
- Pour the brandy and crème de menthe in a cocktail or coup glass. Mix with a bar spoon.
- Top off with a good amount of eggnog and mix again with a bar spoon.
- Garnish with fresh cranberries and sage. Merry Christmas and enjoy!
Let’s walk through this together, shall we? Pour 1 1/2 ounces of brandy in a coup glass.
Then pour 1/2 ounce of crème de menthe in the glass and then mix with a bar spoon.
Top off with a good amount of eggnog and mix again with a bar spoon. I personally recommend Promised Land’s Holiday Eggnog. I have no affiliation with the brand, the eggnog is just absolutely delicious!
Garnish with fresh cranberries and sage. I suggest cutting a little slit into the cranberries so they’ll sit snuggling along the glass rim. Makes for delightfully festive presentation, don’t you think?
If you’re not a fan of eggnog, then I suggest replacing it with milk for a twist on a brandy white Russian. And with all that said, this is officially the last holiday recipe of the season, my friends. I am a bit sad to see this chapter end, but I do have some fun things in store for the New Year. Although I made this post Christmas themed, I do want to say that whether your celebrating a holiday or not this month, I send love and good will out to every single one of you. I wish you a happy and safe December!

I used to despise eggnog…. turns out, the first time I had it it had just gone bad! 🙂
What a fantastic holiday drink!
