Olive Oil & Herb Chicken

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Tyson Foods, Inc. The opinions and text are all mine.

I have a dilemma that I want to share with you. I like to call it the ‘appetizer recipe dilemma.’ Time and again, I find myself in this predicament and want to know who shares in my pain. I find an amazing hors d’oeuvres or dessert recipe, seek out all the ingredients, squeeze in the prep and cook time into my overwrought schedule, make the new dish to perfection, and then the all too painful truth dawns on me… I have an appetizer but no actual dinner to serve it with! Oh the irony! Haven’t we all been there?! So, to help solve this dilemma, I have teamed up with one of my favorite convenience brands to showcase one of their newest products that perfectly serves as an easy entrée solution: Tyson TastemakersTM Premium Meat Pairings – Olive Oil & Herb Chicken.

You’ve tried your hand at a new culinary adventure, but now you need an entrée to serve it with. Of course, by this point in the day, you’re too exhausted to start a whole new dish from scratch, but you also don’t want to disgrace your effort with a sub-par meal. That’s where Tyson TastemakersTM Premium Meat Pairings comes in. Head to your local Kroger, get all the appetizer recipe ingredients, and then mosey on over to the fresh meat aisle to find the brand’s Olive Oil & Herb Chicken. Or if you need a different flavor profile for the night, pick up the Tyson TastemakersTM Meal Kit – Citrus Rum Glazed Chicken. These kits are truly a great way to add a fresh entrée to your meal with all the prep work already done for you. Besides the ease-of-use, they are made with all-natural ingredients like high-quality seasoned meats, fresh vegetables, unique sauces, and garnishes. So all the makings of a great meal are at your fingertips, so let’s get started with the fun!

After you have made your ambitious appetizer recipe, take out the Tyson TastemakersTM Premium Meat Pairings – Olive Oil & Herb Chicken. Everything (including easy cooking instructions) are included, but let’s go through them anyway, shall we?! Heat a skillet with 2 tablespoons of olive oil until hot.

Remove the chicken and Basil Pistou sauce pack from the container. Place the raw chicken on the heated skillet. Cook approximately 3-4 minutes on each side, until slightly browned.

Let the chicken cool slightly and plate. Top off with the Basil Pistou sauce and that is it. It truly is that simple.  Pair the entrée with your appetizer concoction and enjoy!

Simple, right? Well, let me tell you, the process is simple but the flavor certainly is not. The Olive Oil & Herb Chicken has all the complexity of a chef-prepared dish. No one would ever know it came pre-prepped and (almost) ready to serve. Don’t worry, I won’t tell if you won’t. So now that we have solved the ‘appetizer recipe dilemma,’ you will have the confidence to stretch your culinary muscles while still having the time to put together a killer meal. Find the Tyson TastemakersTM Premium Meat Pairings and Meal Kits at your local Kroger store here and use this coupon to save $4 on the product. Now if only a brand could create a post-dinner clean up robot, we’d have all the fixings for a perfect night!
