You know how you hear all about the Loch Ness Monster, you see grainy pictures, you read first-hand accounts, but no one knows for sure if it really exists? Unless you see and experience old Nessy with your own eyes, you’re not going to believe its true. I myself visited Loch Ness a few years back and combed the choppy waters for a glimpse of the elusive beast. I left with only hope and a wavering dream in my heart. It is this feeling, this despondent yet whimsical feeling that I experience when someone mentions the “beer” cocktail. Beer cocktail?! Yeah, right. I’ll believe it when I see it. Well, my friends, it’s time to come into the light. My lovely compadres at Sam Adams, have shared with me the proof that Nessy really does exist. And this magical dinosaur cocktail is named Juicy Fruit. Made with Sam Adams Rebel Juiced IPA and a few other simple ingredients, you’re about to mix up a delicious miracle…
3 ounces of Sam Adams Rebel Juiced IPA
2 ounces of Aperol
1 ounce of Grapefruit juice
- Pour the Sam Adam’s Rebel Juiced IPA, Aperol, and Grapefruit juice in a wine glass.
- Add ice and garnish with half Grapefruit wheel.
Tart, sweet, and best of all, American. There you have it, our very own Loch Ness Monster. And I beg to ask this question… why don’t we see more beer cocktails? This is clearly a neglected niche that needs to be more celebrated. Special thanks to Sam Adams for sharing this glorious and appropriately summery drink recipe with us. Make sure to check out all that the brand has to offer and get more delicious concoctions on their website here. Now if you don’t mind, I’m going to go sip on this rare beauty and contemplate the existence of Sasquatch.
