With the Big Game just around the corner, it is time to get yourself prepared. Unwashed team socks, check! Matching jerseys for the whole family, check! And game day snacks, well let’s check that one off together. With the help of Tyson Foods, I am going to elevate your ‘Homegating’ game with a snack hack you won’t want to miss. Hickory Smoked Chocolate Toffee Bacon, compadres.
Before we get to the recipe’s nitty gritty, I need to lay something out on the line. I love throwing Big Game Day parties and I am quite the awesome hostess at them. Why? Because I am not a fan of football. I know, burn me at the goal post! My game day hosting fabulousness may defy common logic, but in fact it is quite the opposite. While everyone is glued to the screen, I am thrilled to serve as mixologist, replenish the food table, and bask in the electric energy that my guests exude. I relish in setting up cheeky, themed snack displays that add to the excitement of the big game. Hey, what fun-loving host doesn’t have an unhealthy supply of artificial turf and rustic bottle openers in their craft closet?! Oh, is that just me?
In my opinion, the real key to a good Homegate spread is snacks. People need quick, easy, delicious bites to enhance their viewing experience. Plus, who wants to be slaving away in the kitchen for hours before and during the Big Game, anyway?! Besides the usual nuts, chips, and veggie dip array, here’s what you’ll need to get from your local Kroger for your tabletop tailgate: Tyson® Any’tizers® Snacks (I personally recommend the Sweet & Spicy Bourbon flavor, in the frozen section), Ball Park® Beef Hot Dogs (in the refrigerated section), and Wright® Brand Bacon – Hickory Smoked (also in the refrigerated section). The Tyson Any’tizers and Ball Park franks are self-explanatory, so you don’t need my help with those. But it’s with the bacon that we’re going to have a bit of fun, thanks to my super easy snack hack. Let’s get started, shall we?
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 package of Wright Brand Bacon (Hickory Smoked)
1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup of toffee (chopped)
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper. Then lay out the bacon strips on the sheets. Wright Brand Bacon is perfect for this snack hack because they only use premium meat that has been hand selected and hand trimmed. The thick, hearty slices have also been expertly smoked by craft smokemasters. This flavor adds a delicious complexness to the scrumptious treat.
Sprinkle the bacon with the brown sugar. Then place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. When they have reached your desired crispiness, remove the sheets from the oven and let cool.
Once the bacon is completely cool, use paper towels to dab off any excess oil and then lay them out on a fresh sheet of parchment paper. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave by cooking them in increments of 15 seconds, mixing along the way. Dip the bacon in the chocolate and then place back on the parchment paper.
Sprinkle the chocolate-dipped bacon with the chopped toffee bits. Let the chocolate harden out on the counter for approximately 2 hours or place the treats in the refrigerator to harden (approximately 10-15 minutes). Enjoy!
There you have it! Hickory Smoked Chocolate Toffee Bacon. The perfect recipe for your Big Game party that is sure to impress your guests. Make sure to visit Kroger to get all of these Tyson Foods essentials for your tabletop tailgating needs. #FanFoodLeague

Wow! I would never have thought of putting chocolate and bacon together. I like them both separately so maybe they will be tasty together as well!
