Today’s sweet South African couple married in stunning shabby chic style. From gorgeously eccentric floral arrangements to a pretty pastel palette, their day was the stuff that romantic dreams are made of. We were so inspired by this gorgeous affair, that we created a Honey Apple Chutney recipe to match their adorable favors. So make sure to grab the delicious recipe and we’ll let event photographer Christine Murray take it from here:
Siraj and Sonya have the type of love that makes you believe in all that’s good in this world. Together they are calm, yet crazy in love. Holding hands they bounce through this life to the beat of their own music. It truly is something to behold, and every word spoken throughout their day just confirmed what I already knew. That these two were firstly, put on this earth for one another and secondly, that the people who they have surrounded themselves with believe in them, whole heartedly. There was the threat of rain on their day, but Sonya was so calm and collected and determined that everything would be alright. I arrived to Siraj putting the finishing touches to the reception tables (can we say woodland fairytale perfection?). And after a sweet and simple ceremony, delicious food from The Bridge and a casual groom speech serenade, the new Mr & Mrs danced into the evening surrounded by so much love and support. I loved everything about this day and I’m so thankful that I was back in South Africa to tell their sweet story.
