Autumn is the perfect time for two of our favorite hobbies… romance and baking! Today’s post perfectly captures this lovely pairing with cutie pie fiances Mariah and Matt. Capturing the magic of fall, their gorgeous engagement session inspired today’s delicious recipe – apricot cupcakes with saffron frosting. Photographer Mallory Ruggiero sets the scene:
I first met Mariah when we were in elementary school. We grew up together in the same town, so I was beyond honored when she contacted me to photograph her wedding. When discussing when to take their engagement photos, fall seemed like the perfect time to do so! Mariah’s family lives on a farm with lots of land, add in the gorgeous New England foliage, and we had the perfect setup! I brought along some rustic props, along with some cupcakes I made with their wedding colors, to help add to the theme as well. Sadly, we did loose a few cupcakes along the way, but it’s definitely something we laughed about. This entire session was so fun, Matt and Mariah are just fun, happy people, and they exude that onto those around them. You can’t help but have a good time around them.
