Autumn Entertaining at Home

Fall entertaining with Enbrighten Café String Lights by Jasco

The end of Labor Day officially marks the end of summer. And the end of summer means the beginning of the Fall. To which I say, ‘Yahoowee!’ I am an Autumn gal, through and through, so I look forward to this time of year like a child trying to fall asleep on Christmas Eve. Pumpkin Spice Lattes, fresh baked pies, and richly mixed cocktails. Aaah, I cannot contain the squeals! The one thing I am remise to say goodbye to is the unique feel of a patio party. In particular, there is something so romantic about the mood that comes with stringed up lights and a glass of wine. Lucky for you and me, I have teamed up for this sponsored post with Enbrighten Café String Lights by Jasco to bring the summer romance indoors during the cooler months.

Using the lights, I was tasked with showing you how easy it is to entertain in the Fall. Now for those of you who are loyal followers, you know that I have an infant under one. I also live out of state from the rest of my family, so my husband and I are on our own when it comes to raising the munchkin. What does this mean for our date nights? They are non-existent. We actually haven’t had a leave-the-baby-at-home, go-out-to-dinner date since our daughter was born. On the nights we’ve actually had access to a babysitter, we’re too exhausted to get dressed up, drive somewhere, and exert the required energy needed to act properly in public. If you’re a parent, you get it. Consequently, we have had to become a bit more creative. Instead of going out, I have been putting together romantic nights in. And today’s post is a perfect example of how simple and quick you can whip up a fabulous party (or dinner for two) at home with a few key essentials.

To put this Autumn themed soiree together, I only needed a few of my favorite things: a bottle of red wine, a rustic sweet bread, fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, and mood lighting. During my little one’s afternoon nap, I quickly (so easily!) strung up the Enbrighten Cafe Lights in our living room and using the majorly cool TouchSmart Timer, set the lights to go on after my daughter’s bedtime at 8:30pm. Then I put out all the goodies on my cake plates and cutting boards, displayed them on a sidetable with a display terrarium I had lying around and our Fall date night was complete. Literally as we were putting the baby to bed, the lights turned on and my husband and I were transported to a romantic getaway.

Besides getting some quality time with the hubby (and the booze, let’s be honest), the best part were the amazing Cafe Lights. These babies are weather proof, impact resistant, energy efficient, and gorgeous. We can move them outdoors when the weather is less extreme and enjoy them for years to come. The best part about this post for you? Jasco is offering you the chance to get your hands on a set of these cookies! Now if you don’t mind me, I have a glass of wine and a gorgeous man sitting under some romantic string lights to get back to. Scram!
