Casey and Ryan found their dream wedding venue at the Farmhouse at Veritas. The historic country mansion dates back to 1839. It rests at the bottom of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is surrounded by vines growing from the neighboring Veritas Vineyards. Ashlee, of Ashlee Virginia Events, worked with bride Casey to create an elegant, organic design that would compliment the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. The bride’s design inspiration came from her favorite designer – Kate Spade. The color palette of neutrals, mauve, and soft pinks complimented with metallic and glitter accents embody the designer’s contemporary chic style with whimsical twists. Casey’s wedding gown possessed all these design elements with her non-traditional choice of Hayley Paige’s Dori – a sheer, halter neck high crystal bodice that flows into a flounce skirt of alabaster tulle, full horse hair, and chapel train. Her bridesmaids were simply regal in BHLDN’s ivory Annabelle dress designed by Jenny Yoo, which they adorned with lattice crystal belts. Floral designs included Cafe au Lait dahlias, blush roses, pink & white ranunculus, and fresh herbs like sage flowers.
Guests arrived for a late afternoon outdoor ceremony. The couple opted for a circular seating design. Casey and Ryan exchanged vows on top of scattered rose petals in the center of the circle. During the ceremony, their wedding bands were passed around so that guests could transfer their well wishes for the couple into them. After being married, festivities took place beneath beautiful Sperry Tents. Cocktail hour served up garden games and the signature drink “Orange Crush” accompanied with live music from a 4 piece bluegrass band. Custom cornhole boards feature a lovable mascot creation inspired by the couple’s chocolate lab, Hines. This paw and dog silhouette motif is also featured in the table numbers and guests’ favors. Appetizer treats included fried green tomatoes topped with pimento cheese, bacon jam dolloped on crisp mini baguettes, brie cubes with jelly, and meatballs paired with guacamole. As guests transitioned to the reception, they were handed gold glitter rimmed flutes with pink champagne. After a four course meal and a late night snack of mini fried chicken sandwiches, everyone continued the celebration on the dance floor into late into the night.
