Today we start a new series of articles with the sole purpose of exposing you to the coolest, most unique foodie products out there. Not only will you be in the know about the newest food and drink trends, you will actually have a chance to win them. So without further ado, let’s get started with Vena’s Fizz House.
A family-friendly soda shop located in Portland, Maine, Vena’s Fizz House is at the forefront of the craft cocktail revolution. They’re reinventing the classics with ingenious recipes and products. From their New England take on a Mexican institution, the ‘Maine Margarita’, to an Old Fashioned dripping with woodlandy maple and pear flavors, it’s no wonder they are gaining quick notoriety. Their success has led to a line of do-it-yourself infusion kits and sugar cubes infused with bitters, which literally means that concoction creativity is unstoppable. See their full line of products here!
I had heard their name mentioned a few times in mixology circles and knew I had to try out the cocktail products myself. Armed with their delightfully toasty “Fire & Smoke” bitters infused sugar cubes, I created ‘The Smokey Grapefruit’ – a spicy citrusy drink perfect for sipping beside a summer campfire. The sugar cubes are devilishly smokey and such a fun way to add a bit of flair to your homegrown mixology skills. Follow along with my recipe tutorial below or grab the recipe card at the end of the post.
So now that we’ve got your cocktail gears turning, it’s time to offer you something special. Adding to their major cool factor, Vena’s Fizz House is going to give away a set of their Infusion Kit and Bitter Infused Sugar Cubes to two of our lucky readers.
