When you think of Super Bowl parties, hot wings and dip probably come to mind. Well, today we’re here to change that perception. With the help of our friends at Bella Bridal & Heirlooms, we’re doing a serious makeover on the casual Super Bowl party. This also demonstrates an amazing way to repurpose grooms’ gifts. Our theme was modeled after a vintage bottle of whiskey: rugged, flavorful, and sophisticated. Featuring such jewels as a treasure chest filled with Cuban cigars, braised lamb shank, and a cask filled with whiskey, no manly detail was left unturned. And if you want to opt for more traditional Super Bowl fare, then we suggest this be a model for a badass Stag party complete with personalized keepsakes from Bella Bridal & Heirlooms. So without further ado, let’s feast our eyes on the festivities and break down all the delicious details…
What Super Bowl party would be complete without some good beer?! Instead of placing beer bottles out on the table, we decided to have them ready for our guests to sip on. Bella Bridal & Heirlooms’ personalized pub glasses couldn’t be more perfectly suited for this upgrade in beer presentation. Wonderfully monogramed with the hosts’ initials, it elevates the party and makes the guests feel appreciated.
Every party needs some sweets! But we’ve put a twist on the traditional pound cake with this deliciously rugged Honey & Walnut Whiskey Cake. A little nutty, a little sweet, and a lot boozy, it’s an indulgent treat for the crowd to munch on between plays. Get the recipe below!
We all know that meat is the food group of choice while watching the big game. So, instead of serving the often overdone chicken wings, we opted for a beer-braised lamb shank. Roasted to perfection and dripping with goodness, it’s sure to impress. We challenge you to find anything more enjoyable than a full lamb shank in one hand and an ice cold beer in another! Recipe details below.
Do whiskey the right way with your own personal oak barrel cask. Courtesy of Bella Bridal & Heirlooms, this little beauty holds 2 liters of delicious spirits. It’s also the perfect gift for the man who loves to age his own flavorful whiskey at home.
Whether it’s your team’s good luck charm or a sacrificial elf to offer to the football gods, make sure your table has a spot for a mascot. Since we are having both Seahawks and Patriots fans as guests, we decided to stay neutral and opt for Alford, the royal football pug!
Not every gentleman has a taste for the same beer or whiskey. So give your guests some variety with a comprehensive selection of spirits. Our personal favorites for the big game are Lagavulin, Edradour, Brooklyn Gin, and Dalmore.
Have your guests help themselves during halftime to a tumbler of the good stuff! These classically monogrammed glasses from Bella Bridal & Heirlooms will delight your pals with it’s hidden football molded into its base.
Personally I am not a fan of smoking, but I won’t deny my guests the ultimate mans-man accessory to a sophisticated night watching the game… Cubans! If your team wins, then light one up in celebration. And if they lose, light one up in consolation!
Lastly, watching the Super Bowl is tough work… the screaming at incompetent refs, the excited clapping, the touchdown shimmy! So, keep your guests constantly hydrated with a brewery growler of ice cold beer at the ready. This is also a great gift idea for your Super Bowl party host. Get Bella Bridal & Heirlooms to personalize the set as an extra special thank you for such a killer shindig.
